Effective 12th September 2026 · REZ for Android
Settings → Account → Delete account. Type your handle to confirm. It happens immediately, it takes everything with it, and nobody - including us - can undo it.
If you cannot get into the app, email hello@brokoz.com and we will do it for you.
There is no waiting period, no grace period, and no way to reverse it.
| What | How long, and why |
|---|---|
| Your handle | 60 days, then it becomes available to somebody else. It is held back so that nobody can take your name the moment you leave and be mistaken for you. |
| Reports you sent about other people | Kept. A report is a record about somebody else's conduct, and deleting your account should not erase the evidence of theirs. |
| Backups | Deleted information may survive in Google's routine infrastructure backups for a short period before they roll over. It is not reachable and it is not used for anything. |
| Anything already saved by somebody else | Out of our hands. A photograph somebody exported or screenshotted before you deleted it is a copy we never held. |
Lost the phone, cannot sign in, or would simply rather ask: email hello@brokoz.com from the Google address the account signs in with, and say which handle to delete.
Sending it from that address is what lets us confirm the account is yours. If you cannot, say so and we will find another way to check - we would rather be slow than delete the wrong person's photographs.
Requests are answered within 7 days and acted on within one month, as data protection law requires.
Every photograph can be exported from the app before you go - open it, tap Share, and save it. Ask at hello@brokoz.com if you would rather have everything at once, and we will send it.
